so, i’ve finally read Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. the first two times i tried reading it, i ended up stopping halfway. not even half, just like a few pages into the story. ha. this third time, i was stuck on a particular page for so long when i remembered my 50 Book Challenge aint gonna be moving if i dont get back to reading it. unlike some people where they can read two or sometimes three books in a time, i dont like it. i mean i could but i prefer to read books one by one. otherwise the stories get all jumbled up in my head. hahah.
as you can tell from my list, it isnt a wonder as to why this particular book made it so hard for me to read. i tend to stick away from reading heavy stuffs or non fiction cause i prefer chick lits, young adults, fiction or however genre you’d classify it in. i do read biographies once in awhile & those inspiring motivating books aswell. but yeah, my point is i needed a change from the books that i’ve read so far so i picked up Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. its been sitting in my bookshelf for the longest time already & it actually belongs to one my sister. *Manz, i can finally return it to you, heheh.*
after reading it, i kinda felt relief. HAHAH. nothing to do with the story of the book, but i really really wanted to finish it so i could start reading others. as much as i did feel for her while reading & i was glad when it ended good, i could do without the history bits of the places & some things in it. i probably would have enjoyed the book more then. history is history, while some were interesting i felt some were pointless. or maybe i couldn’t be bothered to understand it more. ha. anyhow, i do admire her for everything she’s gone through in her book & her writing was so true that it was like you were really going thru her travels with her. now i wanna watch the movie tho its gotten some bad reviews, i wanna see how it’ll differ. :)
